I have made Averaged Glicko Ratings page. The URL is the same http://www.massiveassault.com/clans/nwo/allratings2.php . Note that there is link to old Glicko page, but I'm not going to support it anymore (IMHO there should be only one rating system). Also note that new rating system doesn't favour trial players.
Waiting for your feedback and suggestions.

Is it "Averaged" by FNU/PL games, or by all maps (special for MA players)?

It is averaged by all maps and sides (10*2).
Here Quitch approach is used as he said in post from Tue Jun 01, 2004 11:19 am.

Thanks, there were different suggestions.

After a brief glance I'd say it's *much* better. Looks far more accurate to me.

I would like to see a checkbox to calculate scores only by MA maps, otherwise MA players will never do any good in the rankings because they can never improve their score on the new maps.

I'd also like to see a "Side" filter, as well as the ability to combine both filters at once.

There's an error in the code whereby the Go button won't appear in gecko based browsers like Mozilla.

Oh, and will this page ever be accessed from the front MAN page?

Wow, it's been a while since I had a chance to take a look at the Glicko ratings, but I'm very pleased with how they're looking. :) I have a bunch of losses coming up tho, so I imagine I'll be dropping a few spots very soon, then it'll be more accurate. :P

Great job Norat, you rock!

Added new Butterfly planet to Glicko rating.

Added some new features:
- show the range of players. To see all players clear all filter fields and press 'Set filter' button;
- send message and send challenge (works if you are logged in to MAN site);
- player status (trial, occupied, DND).

Tip: to save your favourite filter settings, bookmark page after you apply filter.

The URL isn't changed: http://www.massiveassault.com/clans/nwo/allratings2.php

I also plan to add show/hide trial players feature in near future.

Since 11 September 2004 there was a bug in Glicko: it averaged over 13 planets instead of 11 :( . Rating for 2 additional phantom planets was 1500. Now it's fixed.
Thanks to Vixen for bug report.

Would it be possible to update the Glicko ratings (which I am a big fan of - seems to give a much better idea of who's actually good than the official ratings) to include the new planet, Trinity?

Sadly Norat isn't as active as he used to be.

I'll pass on this message to him.

If he isn't going to be able to do that, then I will most likely end up doing it.

What's with all the (I presume inactive, since I'm one of them) having the same time since last login? My is two hours, 17 minutes. More like a few months. Why the miscalculation?

because login is also when you log on site

Post subject:

That doesn't explain why 90% of the people on the ladder logged onto the site at precisely the same time.

I'll put it on my to-do list.
