So do I. But, in my limited experience, about 50% of the people who are losing drop.

And some who are not losing. One guy challenged me, and when I took his challenge, he never showed up. Weird.

Coffeedragon is right. Why change a perfect game? I for one am going to be addicted to it for months to come as it is. Thank you for your comments as well, Skykeeper. They've helped me understand why you've designed the game in the way you have. And with the countdown timers and ability to take a peek at your game between turns, maybe a quick game isn't a far off goal.

The timer probably could help the dropping problem as well, even if it is set at 48 hours per turn. I'm sure it will be optional, so others that like the no-pressure approach could still play that way. Still leaves the question of how to fairly penalize people that don't take their turn in time...

To the devs... thanks for listening to our little voices and trying to make the perfect game better! With the demo release, the AI speedup, the additional scenarios, the scenario editor, and all the other future additions coming soon, what are people going to complain about? :D

The mention of a MA2 just made me drooolll...

With reference to the original thread, I took one look at a screenshot of this game and thought it was an RTS (which I am bored of these days)
I found out it was a hex game by chance and got it straight away.

In fact, the UK's PC Gamer called it:
"The handsomest hex game ever."

:-)

Excuse me for my "ill" modesty.

Yeah, I blew it off every time I saw it because it looks like an RTS on the box. The review at the Wargamer is what brought me to the game and the demo is what got me to buy it.

Same here, except I saw it on Gamespot.

Kept thinking it was a real time strategy. LOL What a misnomer that is. I never did understand how a StarCraft clickfest could be considered strategy...
