Hi

Most modern games allow MP3 to replace the game music with controls in the game. Is this is feature planned for MA ??

As a developer I can say that hooking up winamp 2.xx or 3.xx is a snap and you dont have code any sound stuff yourself. You get a world class mp3 player in your game for free.

what would be even better is an ogg player.

but why not just mute game music and run winamp?

In Game Controls is why. Swapping back to windooze is very slow, and has a tendancy to kill most games.

takes me less tehn 2 secs to switch out of MA and about 3 to switch back, with this broswer, and winamp running.

Massive Assault uses OGG format for the music. You may place your ogg-files in "data" subfolder and edit "music.ini" file. You may remove unliked sound-tracks from there and place your there. After each filename place a number of repeation times followed by two zeroes separated by space. So you may l get your favourite playlist. Each planet has its separate playlist. Planets names are:

islands2 - New Paradise
islands3 - Noble Rust
islands4 - Antarcticus
islands5 - Bizarria
islands6 - Wasserland
islands7 - Anubis
islands10 - Emerald

Good luck. If someone assembles a good playlist - I would like to try it :-)
