Not yet, and Iґve heard it would be a bit difficult with the engine, but if it can be done it would be a great addition, of course. :)

There are 6 worlds included though, and the distribution of countries among the players is totally different each game.

Scenario editor yes, but what about a map editor, where you can create your own planets?
Thats what the game really needs. Now I understand that it may be very difficult to do, but would be very beneficial.

Any news on this?

Do you really know Maya enough to make maps? ;-) Don't you want to appy for a job?
Have you seen any tiles on the maps in Massive Assault? It's not a game with simplistic tile 2D-graphic...
So it is very difficult to make maps even if you know Maya well. By the way, even if we would describe the process in details, look at the price for Maya... It is something above $4000. But Maya is an essential part of maps creation. Still want map editor tools and manuals?

The current version of Massive Assault makes it a really difficult technical task to let the players create their custom maps. But dont' worry. Wargaming.net is currently working on a couple of new maps, which will be available for the download when they are ready.

Your maps are great. :)

Still, for even more variety, is there *any* possible way for interested players to input their ideas for a "custom map"; letґs say a little utility to make a rough outline of the map theyґd like to see, and MA artists could possibly convert that into an actual map?

In the meantime, I have one map suggestion of my own:

**A HUGE EARTH MAP**

For two reasons:

1) Storyline: Ultimately, the War must return to Earth, and come to a finish there, right? :)

2) With the Scenario Editor, players could make endless numbers of "Alternate History" scenarios, MA-style (1917, 1942, Cold War and so on...).

I think this is a great idea, even if I say so myself. :D

good idea about large earth map but it seems VERY difficult to make nearly impossible...there are 250 countries on earth ATM there will need to be like a dozen of rich like two dosend of medium and like two hundreds of poor countries...
and what country borders you offer to draw on that map? current? 1917? 1945? should Belarus be a part of Russia  i suppose devs wont be happy to make that :P

Just use a map similar to Risk... not necessarily accurate, but it allows for plenty of types of borders. You've got your Arabian deserts, your Himilayan mountains, you're jam-packed cities in Western Europe, and some nice channels for sea warfare... it could be a pretty interesting map with plenty of strategic positions. And we could see what would have happened if Russia invaded the US during the Cold War... :D

Yeah, a Risk-type map is what I had in mind. ~40 Countries, with a Large/Medium/Small distribution similar to the maps already existing.

But think of the benefits! People might even have some drive to create some custom scenarios! As far as hard to make, just slap something together and just release it to the forum dwellers :D. We won't complain if there's a detail out of place *evil grin*.
