New Brimstone Map won't load

I downloaded the new Brimstone map. It shows up in the menu, but when I try to start a world war on it the load screen lights up all the little red lights except the last one and then just sits there.....I gave up waiting after 10 minutes (obviously it shouldn't take that long).

I have the American version with the latest patch installed and everything else works just fine.

if you play MA, you should have the latest 191 patch for MA installed before. If it is but do not work any way, please do manually the following:

delete "data/scripts/stratup.lua" file and install correct (MA, but not MAN) map again.

Where did you download the map from? There might be seperate MA and MAN copies which install to seperate locations. Might be worth, if you didn't already, ensuring you download it from the Maps page, not the forums.

VaNO i have patch 191 already installed plus the quick fix patch and i get the same problem as ChromaTick ?

Howdy...

I and my friend Twins have exact same problem. I have the latest GMX patch 191 also dl that misc file? It didnt work either.

Dunno but i might do something wrong here? Any energy to help 2 ppl, cuz we are last in the fog.

Ps. the new map was dl from gamershell.com... but i guess it doesn't matter right?

we have two different versions of Brimstone map for MA and MAN.
better to download it from our site to make sure that you downloaded proper version.

note for MA players: it is need to install 191 patch and then install new map but not vice versa

Just to note I had this problem too. I was fully patched in advance and downloaded it from the correct page.

A bad download?

(relative to massive assault installation folder)
./data/scripts/startup.lua
./data/scripts/registerEffects008Map.lua
./scenarios/net/islands8.scn

and your ma.log just after unsuccess starting of the game on this map.

Ok i try to dl the map from the offical site then...

But i over writed the org misc file with the other misc on this topic :-/

Dunno if my Ma changes? Any answers for that..

Just dl the Brimstone map from the offical site and still have the same problem.

Now i dont know if thats because i allready installed the first Brimestone another version as you says so, or if thats because i over writed my misc file with the other one?

Really dont wont to be a pain in the butt, but i really have no idea where the start or the finish line really are. For others it maybe looks simple for those who seen inner core of mighty error

where can I download the MAN version of Brimstone? I looked around massiveassaultnetwork.com and didn't notice it. Right now Brimstone won't load on MAN or MA for me.

thanks, I'll be sure to try it. I've since gotten it working in MA, and since roughly half the games I play using MAN go broken, I'm playing games in MA at the moment anyway.

I do not have a stratup.lua file
I appear to have the ma version of the map loaded
I have the 191 patch istalled

please, try to do following
1) reinstall patch 191
2) install map brimstone which you've downloaded from MA site (not MAN version)
3) If id doesn't help, please remove .\MA\data\scripts\startup.lua and reinsltall brimstone map again.
